It's a Triple Threat Giveaway!!! (3 Winners!!)

KMR Communications approached me to offer an amazing “Triple Threat” reader giveaway and I jumped on the chance! For this extra special triple threat giveaway, they will be offering up three lucky readers of The Giveaway Diva extra special prizes! There are three different products catering to a whole spectrum of women that can be won!

Prize #1 (For the one who wants to get a rock hard beach body)

For those of you who are wanting to achieve the perfect beach body, we all know that it can be quite difficult! For those of you wanting to take protein products but hate that the market is saturated with products aimed towards men, there is finally a product that was made specifically with women in mind: Tight Curves! I like the sound of that!

Here is some information directly from the sponsor, since I have no clue when it comes to protein products:

Finally and for the first time, there’s a perfect protein product for women only: Tight Curves. We call it Tight Curves because, in conjunction with proper nutrition and exercise, that’s exactly what it will give you. It will also give you eight other benefits that virtually every woman wants.

HeartHealthy product that delivers 14 grams of high quality protein, only with 4 carbs. It also includes calcium for bone health, a concern of women susceptible to osteoporosis, and Black Cohosh and St. John’s Wort for mood management, a concern of women dealing with hormonal changes.

With your overall health, fitness, and well-being as our goal, BodyWell Nutrition and its team of scientists, and researchers formulated Tight Curves to deliver the benefits women want most. Daily use of Tight Curves promotes toned muscles, enhanced fat oxidation (fat burning), regulated moods, increased endurance, and decreased recovery time from exercise or other activity.”

Tight Curves is valued at $59.95 and can be purchased at http://www.bodywellnutrition.com/!

Prize #2 (For the one who savors a good meal….and who lives in New York)

Bruno Jamais Resturant is a fixture on the New York dining scene that has served the likes of former president Bill Clinton! The ultra swanky restaurant has a very special Monday “Surf and Turf” Night! Mmmm in my opinion you seriously cannot find a better combo then juicy steak and succulent lobster! You would think that this “Surf and Turf” Night would leave a huge dent in your wallet because we are talking steak and lobster here, but it won’t! “Surf and Turf” Mondays are only a reasonable $26.95! But that’s not all! You get lots of yummy extras as well such as the Chef Salad to start off with, a one and a half pound (!) Atlantic Lobster and Filet Mignon alongside pomme frites and balsamic rice. Mmm that sounds soooo good! I’m so hungry now typing this up!

If you want to make your stomach very very happy the address of Bruno Jamais is here:

Bruno Jamais Restaurant
24 East 81st Street
NY NY

Ph: 212 396-3444

You can also visit their website: http://www.brunojamais.com/ to drool over their menu. (I’m guilty of going onto restaurant’s websites to look at their menu and drool…..and I’m sure lots of you do too!)

The winner will get a gift certificate for 50% off their scrumptious “Surf and Turf” dinner! Mm so that means you can get lobster and steak for only $14!! And if you’re the winner it would be awesome if you already lived in New York but well technically you don’t actually have to live in New York to win this prize! If you don’t live in New York you could always win it for someone you know that lives there or even if you have plans to visit New York in the near future!

Thunder and Lightning and Internet=Not a Good Combination

I am so sorry dear readers!! We had this huge freak thunder and lightening storm over the weekend and it has basically put both my internet as well as tv out of commission! I am a very sad girl! I haven't been able to update in so long.....and this time it's not my fault!! The rain and thunder and lightning came from no where since it was such a nice day on Saturday! After the thunder had stopped I was so sad to realize that it had caused havoic on my internet and tv connections! I don't know how people lived before internet and tv was around...it's seriously hard!! And another reminder of how dependent we actually are on technology!!

Well that being said don't forget to enter the giveaways!! The Michelle Chang Jewelry giveaway will be ending this Friday and I still have to pick the winner for the Skin Free Skincare Giveaway!! Eeeek! Falling so far behind! =( I will be updated as soon as the tv and internet company get around to fixing my connections! Until then I think I'll go outside and get away from technology for a bit! =)

Belli Skincare Review!

The amazing people over at KMR Communications INC are always up to date on the newest and greatest products! One of their lovely reps, Taylor offered up the Belli Skin Smoothing Body Exfoliator for a review, I jumped at the chance. Now Belli is a skincare line that is specifically targeted towars pregnant women. Nodear readers this is not a subtle hint that I am! I mean I always admire the amazing glow that mother's to be have! And although I try to replicate their glow I just can't do it! As most mothers now that sometimes the pregnant glow is there, but other times pregnancy can bring wreck havoic upon your complexion, causing breakouts and belemishes

I love how Belli Skincare can also be used by us non-expecting folk! I mean I would want a product that is considered to be the world's safest skincare line available to address the specific issues that pregnant women, new moms and babies may have. the product that I reviewed was the Skin Smoothing Body Exfoliation and it actively sweeps away all the icky old skin cells that are just hanging out on the surface of your skin right out! I mean being an old skin cell party pooper just does miracles to your skin!

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret, I'm kinda lazy when it comes to my skin which is horrible I know! But thankfully to reach maximum complexion goodness it is recommended that you only exfoliate two to three times a week. According to Annette Rubin (along with her husband Dr. Jason Rubin) who is not only the founder of Belli but a real mom! She says that by doing this routine you are unclogging your pores, sloping off dead skin cells and allowing the fresher, healthier skin underneath to shine! Belli can actually be used all over your body so that's good news, because you can just rub it on in the shower.

The scrub has a very soothing and great smell of green tea, ginseng and peppermint oil. It really makes you wake up, but it is very subtle and not at all overpowering! Most of my exfoliators have rather large scrubbing particles which can really rub your skin the wrong way so I really liked how the scrubbing particles was really fine and it felt really good! I really liked the results, my skin was nice and glowing and it felt very soft afterwards too.

There are so many products out there for mothers and their babies, but what really sets Belli Skincare apart is that it is dedicated to not putting harmful chemicals that can be passed on to your child. They are the only skin care company in the world that perfoms Teratology screening of thier ingredients which insures that their natural and organically grown ingredients will be the safest during your pregnancy, eliminating any ingredients that may lead to potential birth defects. They are proud to be an industry leader with a higher prenatal safety standards since 2002. All the products are allergy tested and also free of synthetic dyes and paraben preservatives. And yay they have no animal testing!

Belli Skincare can be found in many nationalt retailers including Pottery Barn Kids, Mother works, baby/maternity boutiques, and fine spas. The entire line can be found on belliskincare.com. So if you want to know more or would like to purchase some of these products head on over to their website to check it out!

BeadPassion: Review and Giveaway!!

While browsing through Etsy I chanced upon Beadpassion and was amazed by her creations! What she does is create amazing and very life-like pieces of jewelry and cellphone charms! Seriously when I looked at her pieces I got hungry! I was so amazed that she created all her pieces using clay! I mean clay can be quite hard to work with, but the amazing detail in each piece truly blew me away! I really loved her cupcake jewelry as well as her cute pug ones too! The best part is the great prices! Perfect for gifts or a great and cute way to accessorize your outfit! You can seriously go on a major spending spree without breaking the bank!

Helen was so amazing to send me not only an awesome necklace but a pair of earrings as well! I was in awe when I recieved my items and I really loved the personal touch that she had with her packaging!

I got this amazing cupcake necklace that looked so real that I wanted to eat it....or at least made me crave a real cupcake! Look at all the amazing details! like the strawberries! I seriously do not know where she gets not only her talent but her patience as well!!

The second item that I reviewed was the Lucite White Petal Earings. They were nice and light and very flirty! I really loved all the movement that the earrings hand and they had such a nice feel to them as well.

(Read my review here!)

Here is her interview:

Name: Helen

Name of shop: www.beadpassion.etsy.com

Location: Philippines

Favourite item from your shop: Oh there are quite a lot - mostly cupcakes. I love my buttterfly edition cupcakes, watermelon cupcake, all the fruit topped o

nes. Pug clays are also a favorite.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

Simple, uncomplicated, happy - thats who I am and the life I'm living. I'm a mother to my wonderful 2 year old son, I love coffee, and I'm addicted to creating with polymer clay.

When and what made you want to open up your shop?

I set up my etsy shop August last year, but launched my products only after 2 months. I decided to sell my products online because I thought that I could offer something unique. And because they are handmade, I believe that the customer is sure to get a one of a kind item. Aside from that, my goal also is to lighten up someone's day with my clays.

Tell us a little bit more about your creation process:

I can officially begin my craft only when my son is asleep. I start with a cup of coffee, lay out my materials and tools. Most of the time, I already have a design in my mind. To work with polymer clay, the clays need to be conditioned first. After conditioning I mix the clays to get the color I want, then I hand sculpt everything, afterwards I bake the items. Sounds pretty easy but in reality, it isn't. Conditioning takes time, but sculpting takes the longest time. Most especially with intricate designs. On an average it takes about an hour to hand sculpt one piece. The baking takes30mins. If requested, I gloss the product before shipping it out. Every item is made with so much love!

Where do you draw inspiration for all your amazing designs?

I draw my inspiration usually from my interests - foods, dogs, nature, from wonderful works of other artists. I also get inspiration and encouragement from my mom and sisters. I'm a bit conservative when it comes to colors. They're the ones who love vibrant colors so I just think about what they might like and make them. I'm thankful to have a supportive husband (he made my shop banner), he sometimes suggests things I can create. Also the nice words from satisfied customers inspires me to make more.

If you could be an animal what would you be and why?

I think I'd be a dog because they are adorable and loyal.

If you could have one super power what would it be and why?

I wish to be able to restore mother earth from the ravages of man (now you think I'm boring you)

Bella Luccè Review

I recently was sent the Manuka Honey Drizzle to review from the amazing all natural body care line Bella Lucce! I really loved the concept behind this company and the long journey founder Lela Barker had in creating the line. It was scary to read how prompted by her sister’s diagnosis of breast tumors while only in her twenties, Lela had discovered that a common cosmetic preservative was mimicking estrogen in women’s bodies, leading to the potential development of breast tumors. After realizing that everything from her shampoo and body lotion contained these ingredients she promptly dumped everything out. The lack of boring and healthy products in the health food stores was all the inspiration she needed to start making her own skin care products from her kitchen. While going through a divorce, Lela wanted a way to provide for her family while also being able to stay at home with them and the idea of creating a natural skincare line seemed like the perfect option. And thus Bella Lucce was born. And Lela has found much success for what was a small hobby she shared with her family and friends has now snowballed into a successful company that has an extensive collection of body care products that is used in spas, salons and natural wellness centers in forty-eight states and more than a dozen countries worldwide.

I really love how Bella Lucce truly sticks to their ideals, ones that Lela came up with while slowly building Bella Lucce from the ground up. They refuse to go the commercial route and each and every product from Bella Lucce is lovingly handmade in their production kitchen. They have responsible sourcing of ingredients so you know that people are not being exploited in the making of their products and they donate many of their proceeds back to indigenous communities from which they source their materials from. I also love how they reduce the packing material and there is no secondary packaging such as boxes and the plastic containers contain recycled plastic.

The Manuka Honey Drizzle that was sent to me is from the Bath Luxuries line of skincare and it is according to their website “A delicious bath elixir designed to gently exfoliate and nourish, softening skin and encouraging brisk cell turnover for a head-to-toe radian complexion”. I learned that they used a special honey, Manuka honey which a rare variety of honey which is only harvested in New Zealand. This special honey is universally celebrated for not only its restorative but antibacterial properties which means that it is perfect for sensitive skin! They have also included a unique blend of citrus extracts and pure essential oils. When I received the Manuka Honey Drizzle, I was pleasantly surprised by just how large the product was! They really do not skimp on this product and I love it! That means many, many soothing bath times with this product. I also was so in love with the packaging and the innovative idea of using a wooden dispenser shaped like a honeycomb! How cute is that?? When I opened the lid I was so in love with the smell! I just sat there and sniffed the product for a minute or two it was so yummy I wanted to eat it! I couldn’t wait to test out this product so into the bath I went! I did what the instructions outlined and put some drizzle into my bath and then used the honeycomb to spread some on my face. It really made my bath water smell delicious and my body and face did have a great glow afterwards not to mention the great smell! I have been using this for about a week and I hardly made a dent in the jar!

Bella Lucce is truly an up and coming beauty brand with a band of loyal followers who have gone the natural route and refuse to go back. They have been featured in many magazines such as Star, Life and Style and Allure Magazine. They have also made appearances in many awards shows such as: The SAG Awards, The Billboard Music Awards and The Cannes Film Festival! Having any one of their amazing products it is easy to see why they were named the 2007 Indie Beauty Business of the Year! You’ll also be happy to hear that Lela got her happy ending and is now happily married to her high school sweetheart, with whom she reunited after more than a decade! Sounds like a fairytale come true!

If you love the sound of the Manuka Honey Drizzle you will jump up and down when you find out that I will be featuring them in a giveaway later this week! So definitely watch out for that! In the meantime go onto Bella Lucce’s website and check out their other amazing lines of skin and body care!

Shinning Stones: Review and Giveaway!!!!

Shining Stones is an amazing etsy shop that specializes in what else…shiny stones. Creator Ellie was kind enough to send me the amazing Room for Squares Ring to review, which is an amazing aqua blue glowing hemimorphite square which is wrapped with permanently dyed, anti-tarnish gold coloured wire. It is easy to see why this ring is Ellie’s best seller because the colour alone draws you in. I loved the great combination of blue and gold and really felt that the gold brought out the warm undertones of blue within this ring. I have worn this ring for about two weeks now and I have received many compliments on the ring and its unique colour and shape. Doesn’t it remind you of a piece of gum? I have not only worn it dressed up, but dressed down as well and it has survived the hectic nature of my life. It is a ring that you don’t have to worry about banging up, because trust me it is so durable! When I first got the ring, I would always be wary when I hit it against something, always checking to see if it has caused the ring to chip or to be scratched but it has not yet. If gold is not your thing or you have a lot of silver jewelry in your collection, this ring can also be made in sterling silver wire. Even though most of my jewelry is silver, I want to branch out and try new things so that is why I went with the gold. Plus it looked pretty good mixed in with my silver pieces and other silver rings that I wore alongside it.

I love Ellie’s great selection of wire wrapped rings and it has been so convenient for me since I have such a hard time finding rings that will fit. Most rings are way too large and it really makes me sad, so having a ring personally made to fit your finger especially if you have a less than conventional sizing is great. Ellie really utilizes amazing looking stones and the selection and variation of designs (233 items up for sale!) she has stocked is truly mouth watering. Although she has 145 rings up for sale on her etsy site that is not the only thing she designs, she also makes yummy bracelets, earings and necklaces but really she has the most selection of wire wrapped gemstone rings I have seen on Etsy, so she is your go to girl for rings!

Here is her interview:

Name: Ellie Schoenberger

Name of shop: Shining Stones

Location: Hanover, MA

Favourite item from your shop: This is like picking a favorite child. I would say I have a favorite style - I love the 'bird's nest' rings and necklace - they are fun to make and there are so many possible variations.

Tell us a little bit about yourself: I am a Mom to two kids, ages 6 and 3. I'm a former corporate executive and now a proud stay-at-home Mom. I have been making jewelry for a long time, but started my Etsy shop a little over a year ago. I am also in recovery from alcoholism - I started by making jewelry for the recovery community, and it grew from there. In addition to making jewelry, I love to read, do crosswords and write. I recently started a blog (www.onecraftymother.blogspot.com) and I find writing for this to be very therapeutic.

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment? My kids, without question. Being a parent has been the most challenging and most rewarding thing I have ever done.

When and what made you want to open up your shop? I opened it on a whim - my brother told me about Etsy and I thought I'd give it a shot. Before Etsy I made jewelry for friends and family, and people were always stoppoing by my house to buy stuff. It has been an adjustment to make jewelry as my "job" - before then I just did it because I love it and it brings me peace of mind. The support I get from the Etsy community and my customers is amazing. Now I can't imagine my life without it!

Tell us a little bit more about your creation process: I draw a lot of my inspiration from nature. I love the beach, and many of my pieces are inspired by the beauty of the ocean. I love knowing about the meta-physical properites of stones - each semi-precious stone carries a different meaning, and I often draw my inspiration from that, especially for pieces for people in recovery from addiction, loss, divorce or any other challenge in life.

Where do you draw inspiration for all your amazing designs? I don't alway know. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night with an idea for a piece -and I'll have to run downstairs to my studio and play around with the idea until I figure out what I was after. Other times it is my children, or a beautiful color scheme I'll see in nature.

If you could be an animal what would you be and why? A dog. Boring, I know. I have a big white dog and I always look at her and think she has a pretty good life. I'd like to be able to nap whenever I felt like it... :)

If you could have one super power what would it be and why? Invisibility. I would love to be a quiet, invisible observer of human nature.
