Falling In Love with: Frostings Customized Jewelry Giveaway
With Valentine's fast around the corner the pressure is on to find the most perfect Valentine's Day. But instead of going for the time tested flowers and candy, why don't you mix it up a bit and really add a unique flair with a gift that is more personal?
Natasha is the designer behind Frostings, a great Etsy store that specializes in unique handstamped jewelry. She has a great selection of necklaces that can be customized and ensure that each necklace is as unique as the person who wears it.
While she has a lot of handstamped necklaces in her store she also has some great bracelets and keychains as well. While custom items takes about two weeks Natasha is very flexible and understands that sometimes you don't have two weeks and she will be happy to help out in any way that she can.
Why don't we learn more about her through her interview:
Name: Natasha Vaughn Name of shop: Frostings Location: Middle Tennessee
Favorite item from your shop: I love all of the items in my shop. I just can't make something I don't love. But I wear my "Charmed" necklace the most so that must be my favorite.
Tell us a little bit about yourself:I am a stay at home mom that wanted to help my family financially after my second child was born. I started a custom cake business first and did very well with that. Once while surfing the net I discovered hand stamped jewelry. I fell in love and instead of purchasing one I decided to just order some tools and try my hand at it. I began giving stamped jewelry as gifts and then people starting calling wanting to order my items. It sort of snowballed and I eventually discontinued my cake business so I could focus on my jewelry.
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment is my family. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and our children are 21 and 6. I certainly have to give most of the credit for my family and my successful marriage to my Heavenly Father. We would never have made it without Him.
When and what made you want to open up your shop? When I first started making jewelry someone told me about Etsy. I checked it out and was amazed by the talent. I was apprehensive about putting my jewelry beside others at first but finally made the plunge.
Where do you draw inspiration for all your amazing designs? I draw inspiration from so many places. It can be something I see whether it be in nature or something more industrial like a vehicle. Sometimes it's just something someone says and a design pops in my head.
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment? I feel the most complimented when someone orders from me after seeing one of my pieces on someone else or when I see a former customer and they ask for more business cards because people are always asking where they got their Frostings jewelry.
If you could be an animal what would you be and why? I would be a house cat because they do what they want when they want and get pampered and petted at every turn. :)
If you could have one super power what would it be and why? It would have to be flying because I hate being in the car. I could just zip wherever I wanted to go.
Natasha also has more items on her website www.frostingstn.com. If you see something there that catches your fancy and that you want to purchase you can contact her for a custom listing.
My Review: The lovely Natasha from Frostings allowed me to chose a piece from her collection in order to do a review. And it took me a while to decide upon what great personalized piece from her large amount of selections. I finally settled on the beautiful My Cup Runneth Over Me.
My Cup Runneth Over Me is a beautiful necklace that consists of a one inch sterling disc that is hand stamped with your choice of names, words or a phrase that you might live you life by. The disc is cupped to snuggle the swarovski birthstone drops of your choice. Up to five is included with the price of the necklace which is awesome. The necklace also includes a silver snake chain
I decided to get the names of my sisters and I stamped on the necklace and give it to my mom as a present. I decided that since the names of my whole family would not fit on the tag I would use the crystal charms to represent them instead. The crystals were very shiny and it added a special element to the necklace. I was very pleased with the presentation as the necklace came in a reusable black organza bag. The lettering is clear and distinct and everything is nicely put. I love that it was handstamped and personalized and it truly is a great keepsake that has such a special meaning to my family. This is a perfect gift for a grandmother or a mother but it's also great to remember a special occasion in your life.
Natasha has so many other great necklaces that can be customized and she is super friendly and nice to deal with!
If you love my necklace you are in luck because one lucky person will win a gift card valued at $40 which can be spent on any Frostings Creation of your choosing!!
